Location: Lansing
Precision Castparts Corp - - - Responsibilities:
Set up and operate cold heading machines performing multi-operation tasks on large National cold formers;
Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, comparators;
Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, tool layouts, and part progressions to determine tolerances and operational sequences;
Adjust controls, wedges, brass settings, and other components to synchronize machine operations, set pressures, and depths of ram strokes;
Remove and replace tooling as needed when production runs are completed or tooling is worn
