We are seeking to add an experienced individual to our sub assembly team in Middleville. Please note that positional needs may vary, and those who receive an offer will be assigned based on their skill set and the current needs of the team. (You will be placed where your skill aligns as well as what aligns with the immediate production needs).
In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn the functional areas within Bradford White’s Sub Assembly process – Cutting steel sheets, Hole punching steel, loading overhead conveyors, and always being aware of PPE guidelines.
NOTE:
Sub Assembly features materials such as heavy steel, sharp‑edged steel, stainless‑steel, and high‑powered oven (can spike temperature in near areas during summer months)
- Ability to work within shift timeframe guidelines as well as adhere to overtime requirements.
- Ability to regularly understand/adhere to safety regulations and PPE guidelines (equipment/safe lifting practices/chemical guidelines etc.).
- Ability to understand work instructions and required training.
- Ability to perform at a high level in a fast‑paced/high volume environment that features varying stimuli.
- Prior experience in an industrial or similar environment that involves lifting 50lbs via the upper body (shoulders, arms abdomen).
- Ability to be cross trained in multiple jobs within the given training period.
- Ability to lift heavy (bending, reaching, maneuvering, tilting, rotating product) 8-12 hours in a shift using majority muscle groups (Chest, back, shoulders, arms, legs, hip flexors, abdomen).
- Ability to retain information with the expectation to train others after adequate time on the job.
- Ability to understand detail‑oriented awareness of product specifications, quality, potential defects.
- Prior experience cutting/hole punching sheet steel.
- Prior experience safely handling sheet steel in small spaces at a rapid pace.
- Proficient prior experience using hand tools (various drills, socket wrenches, hammers, ignition tools).
- Prior experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment that assembles large products.
- Wearing required PPE dependent upon specific jobs at designated times.
- Frequent repeated use of upper body muscle groups (arms, back, shoulders, abdomen to extend product portion (tank jackets) above head/attach to overhead conveyors) (up to 50lbs).
- Repeated extending of arms (length of wingspan) to properly hoist sheet metal.
- Insertion of sheet metal while arms fully extended into a seaming lock machine.
- Regular repeated bending, reaching, maneuvering, tilting, rotating product 8-12 hours in a shift using majority muscle groups (Chest, back, shoulders, arms, legs, hip flexors, abdomen) to secure, conjoin, cover, assemble, and rotate product.
