Pay Rate: $22.13 depending upon experience +($1.05) Shift Premium on 2nd

What we’re looking for:

We are seeking to add an experienced individual to our general tank assembly in Middleville. Please note that positional needs may vary, and those who receive an offer will be assigned based on their skill set and the current needs of the team. (You will be placed where your skill aligns as well as what aligns with the immediate production needs).

In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn the functional areas within Bradford White’s Greater Assembly process – from installing components, testing water tanks securing product, welding tanks, loading conveyors, and always being aware of PPE guidelines.

NOTE:
The plant features materials containing harmful chemicals, heavy steel, stainless steel, sharp‑edged steel, and a high‑powered oven (can spike temperature in near areas during summer months)

Required qualifications:

  • Ability to regularly understand/adhere to safety regulations and PPE guidelines.
  • Ability to pass baseline welding tests to become a certified welder within the company.
  • Prior MIG welding/auto/machine welding experience in a factory, industrial or shop setting.
  • Ability to perform at a high level in a fast‑paced/high volume environment that features multiple stimuli.
  • Comfortability with working in darker/dim environments (welding cells)
  • Ability to understand work instructions and required training.
  • Proficiency in Welding Techniques:
    Experience in a variety of welding methods, including MIG, and Arc/Stick welding techniques
  • Knowledge of Welding Equipment:
    Ability to safely operate welding machines, hand tools, and equipment such as grinders, cutters, and torches.
  • Blueprint Reading:
    Competence in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
  • Familiarity with Robotics:
    Experience in automated or robotic welding systems for advanced manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to retain information with the expectation to be able to train after adequate time on the job
  • Ability to understand detail‑oriented awareness of product specifications, quality, potential defects.
  • Proficient understanding of basic math to keep track of product changeovers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in an industrial or similar environment.
  • Prior welding certifications that include but are not limited to (GMAW/MIG), (API), (CPW), (CRAW), (CWT), (CRWT), (AWS D1.) etc.
  • Proficient ability to recall mechanical processes and understanding machine functionality.
  • Prior experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment that assembles large products.
  • Prior experience in a metal works, steel, aluminum shop or similar work environments.
  • Ability to lift heavy (bending, reaching, maneuvering, tilting, rotating product) 8-12 hours in a shift using majority muscle groups (Chest, back, shoulders, arms, legs, hip flexors, abdomen).

Physical requirements of position:

  • Wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) based on specific job tasks, including but not limited to steel toe/composite boots, gloves, aprons, protective sleeves, safety eyewear, and hearing protection, to ensure a safe working environment. (Welding Helmet, Jacket, Gloves
  • Frequent, repetitive use of upper body muscle groups (arms, back, shoulders, abdomen) to lift, rotate, and extend product portions, often weighing up to 50 lbs or more, overhead and securely place them on water tanks or designated areas.
  • Prolonged standing for 8 to 12-hour shifts, involving consistent use of upper body muscles to assemble, align, and cojoin components on the final assembly lines.
  • Regular, repetitive movements such as bending, reaching, tilting, and rotating materials for 8 to 12 hours per shift, utilizing primary muscle groups (chest, back, shoulders, arms, legs, hip flexors, abdomen) to perform tasks such as conjoining, welding, spray…
