Job Description
We are hiring a Manufacturing Manager to drive site-level performance at our Northeast Michigan manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for translating company objectives into measurable operational results through strong leadership, disciplined execution, and continuous improvement. The Manager will partner closely with supervisors and cross‑functional teams to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost while building a high‑performing workforce capable of supporting current and future business demands.
This position is ideal for a hands‑on manufacturing leader who thrives in fast‑moving environments and enjoys developing people, improving systems, and solving complex operational challenges.

What You’ll Be Responsible For Operational Execution & Performance- Drive daily manufacturing execution to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
- Monitor operational performance using KPIs, identify gaps, and lead corrective and improvement initiatives.
- Improve process stability, throughput, and consistency through standard work and disciplined operating routines.
- Balance production capacity, labor, and equipment availability to meet customer and business requirements.
- Champion a proactive safety mindset and lead efforts toward zero recordable incidents.
- Ensure site compliance with applicable ISO standards, OSHA, EPA, and state regulations.
- Partner with Quality to strengthen systems that ensure product conformance and customer satisfaction.
- Promote accountability for safe work practices across all shifts and departments.
- Oversee maintenance and support functions to ensure equipment reliability and uptime.
- Support preventive maintenance programs and collaborate on capital improvement or replacement recommendations.
- Work with operations and engineering resources to improve asset utilization and long‑term capability.
- Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and frontline leaders to strengthen accountability and engagement.
- Assess staffing needs and make hiring or organizational recommendations aligned with production demands.
- Identify high‑potential employees and support leadership development and succession planning.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide regular feedback to drive growth and results.
- Contribute to site planning and longer‑term operational strategies.
- Collaborate with supply chain, quality, engineering, and corporate leadership to align priorities.
- Maintain accurate operational records, metrics, and reports to support data‑driven decision‑making.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in engineering (mechanical, industrial, materials) or business‑related discipline.
- 3–5+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
- Demonstrated success leading teams in a production or operations environment.
- Strong working knowledge of manufacturing safety standards, environmental compliance, and hazard controls.
- Experience using ERP systems and standard Microsoft Office tools.
- Effective communicator with the ability to influence across levels of the organization.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
- High level of integrity and professionalism; trusted with sensitive information.
- Exposure to manufacturing tools, systems, or improvement methodologies is a plus.
- Ability to work in production environments requiring PPE (hearing and eye protection).
