As a , your primary responsibility is keeping the working areas in the production departments of industrial establishment in clean and orderly condition. As a first shift housekeeper, you will perform a variety of operations including but not limited to:
- Cleans lint, dust, oil and grease from machines, overhead pipes, and conveyors
- Cleans floors using hand mops, brooms and floor scrubbing machine and apply floor sealer.
- Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, stairways, lunchrooms, and other work areas.
- Dust furniture and equipment.
- Responsible for washing walls, ceiling, and woodwork.
- Responsible for washing windows, door panels, and sills.
- Empties wastebaskets.
- Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
- Replenishes bathroom supplies.
- Operates industrial trucks to transport materials within plant.
- Able to understand and follow written and verbal workplace instructions.
- Completes additional functions not specifically outlined in this position description as directed by the supervisor/manager.

Education and/or Experience- One year’s experience of housekeeping/ cleaning.
- Able to use industrial floor cleaning machines (preferred).
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of position.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Mathematical SkillsAble to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
