Manufacturing Production, Machine Operator
Our client, an industry leader in manufacturing, is seeking a Press Brake Operator to join their team. As a Press Brake Operator, you will be part of the Industrial department supporting production operations. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a strong work ethic, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Press Brake Operator
Location: Clare, MI
Pay Range: $18.75
Shift: 4 10 hour days Monday thru Thursday - Friday for overtime
6 am to 4 pm
4 pm to 2 am
8 pm to 6 am
What's the Job?
- Set up and operate CNC Press Brake machines in compliance with safety guidelines.
- Program CNC controls using information provided on prints.
- Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and hoists as needed.
- Verify that materials are correct in type and dimension before bending.
- Calculate blank sizes, bend locations, appropriate tonnage, and tooling for each part.
What's Needed?
- High School/GED required;
Associate’s degree in a technical field preferred. - Minimum of 2 years of related manufacturing or CNC Press Brake experience.
- Extensive experience programming the machine and the ability to interpret and apply blueprints.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints.
- operator must be comfortable manually inputting measurements and making adjustments without relying on newer automated interfaces.
- Strong mathematical skills, including fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
- Ability to solve practical problems and work with varying procedures and instructions.
