CNC Programmer

CNC Programmer position available in the Dexter, Michigan area working at our client location who is growing manufacturer.

This is a contract to hire opportunity. Starting pay rate is $24.00 an hour DOE. Day shift position. 6:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday – Friday. OT as needed. Will program and set up CNC machines to produce high-quality parts efficiently and accurately.

• Program and set up CNC lathes (Tsugami Swiss experience preferred)
• Develop CNC processes (tooling, work holding, feeds/speeds, M/G code programming)
• Produce quality parts while maintaining production targets
• Read and interpret blueprints and customer specifications
• Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, depth mics, pin gages, comparators, and other measuring tools
• Change tools, drills, and inserts as needed
• Perform basic machine cleaning, oiling, and maintenance
• Keep machines stocked with required materials
• Perform other duties as assigned

• High school diploma plus 1–3 years of CNC experience (or equivalent)
• Prior CNC programming experience required
• Strong blueprint reading and measurement skills
• Basic computer skills
• Mechanically and mathematically inclined
• Self‑motivated and willing to learn
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
