CNC Programmer position available in the Dexter, Michigan area working at our client location who is growing manufacturer.
This is a contract to hire opportunity. Starting pay rate is $24.00 an hour DOE. Day shift position. 6:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday – Friday. OT as needed. Will program and set up CNC machines to produce high-quality parts efficiently and accurately.
Key Responsibilities for the CNC Programmer:- Program and set up CNC lathes (Tsugami Swiss experience preferred)
- Develop CNC processes (tooling, work holding, feeds/speeds, M/G code programming)
- Produce quality parts while maintaining production targets
- Read and interpret blueprints and customer specifications
- Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, depth mics, pin gages, comparators, and other measuring tools
- Change tools, drills, and inserts as needed
- Perform basic machine cleaning, oiling, and maintenance
- Keep machines stocked with required materials
- Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements for the CNC Programmer:- High school diploma plus 1–3 years of CNC experience (or equivalent)
- Prior CNC programming experience required
- Strong blueprint reading and measurement skills
- Basic computer skills
- Mechanically and mathematically inclined
- Self‑motivated and willing to learn
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
