Painter​/Screener

Location: Spring Lake

Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

Spray painting and silk screening parts to meet production schedules. Responsible for preparing and mixing paints and inks with proper thinner to the proper viscosity.

Job Duties:

• Operates and maintains screening tables, oven, screen cleaning station, paint booth and ovens.

• Prepares parts to be screened and painted.

• Fills out a "Request For Material" slip when material is needed. Gives slip to material handler.

• Screens parts using screening table, screens, and ink tools. Paints parts using paint booth per approved color matches.

• Inspects completed product for completeness and correctness as defined by the drawing and job paperwork.

• Maintains inventory of inks, paints and other supplies as necessary.

• Fills out a purchase requisition form for more supplies when necessary.

• Under the guidance of the Plant Manager, insures that work is being performed per the schedule.

• Maintains a clean and safe working environment.

• Handles parts with due care so as not to damage.

• Always uses safety equipment, a hood or respirator, for ventilation when performing paint functions.

• Will also replace or request supplies for hood or respirator as needed.

Skills and Requirements:

• Wet Coat Painting Experience in a manufacturing setting

• Education

Experience:

A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.

• Mathematical

Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

• National background check required

• Frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds
