The Concentrate Packaging Lead supports daily packaging operations by assisting leadership with workflow coordination, inventory accuracy, product packaging, quality standards, and team support activities. This position serves as a working lead and does not carry formal managerial authority.
An employee in this position must be able to perform the essential job functions satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Essential FunctionsPackage cannabis concentrate products into finished retail-ready goods.
Maintain accurate inventory records within METRC and internal inventory systems.
Coordinate with inventory and production teams regarding inventory adjustments and operational needs.
Support packaging workflow organization and assist in maintaining production schedules.
Monitor cleanliness, sanitation, and organization within packaging areas.
Maintain inventory levels of packaging consumables and communicate replenishment needs.
Assist with product testing coordination and retail allocation processes.
Follow all company SOPs, safety procedures, and Michigan cannabis regulations.
Non-Essential / Additional DutiesProvide day-to-day operational guidance to packaging team members.
Support onboarding and training efforts.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications Education & ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience with inventory systems, manufacturing, packaging, or cannabis operations preferred.
METRC experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesStrong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to maintain accurate inventory records.
Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
Physical Demands & Working ConditionsPosition requires prolonged standing, repetitive hand movements, bending, walking, and stooping.
Position may require lifting materials weighing up to 50 pounds independently and heavier items with assistance.
Work is performed in a secure cannabis production environment.
Employees may be required to wear PPE including gloves, masks, goggles, and other safety equipment.
Employees must comply with all company safety procedures and Michigan cannabis regulations.
Additional RequirementsMust be at least 21 years of age.
Must successfully complete all required background checks and screenings permitted by law.
Must remain eligible to work in a licensed cannabis facility in the State of Michigan.
