Manufacturing Engineer | Byron Center, MI

Salary Range: $76,000 - $116,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Design and optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop and implement new production methods, equipment, and tooling.
• Conduct root cause analysis of manufacturing defects and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability of new products.
• Create and maintain detailed manufacturing documentation, including work instructions and process flows.
• Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards in all manufacturing operations.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing) or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a process improvement or manufacturing engineering role.
• Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing principles and tools (e.g., Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Kaizen).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in data analysis and statistical process control (SPC).
• Experience with CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, AutoCAD) for fixture design and layout optimization.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
