Our client, an industry leader in manufacturing, is seeking a Material Handler to join their team. As a Material Handler, you will be part of the Industrial department supporting production operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Material Handler
Location: Clare, MI
Pay Range: $17.50
Shift:
1st - 8 am to 4 pm - Monday through Friday
2nd - 4 pm to 12 am, Monday through Friday
** overtime is scheduled prior to start time and can be heavy, including Saturday
What's the Job?
- Support production associates by receiving, dispensing, and maintaining inventory in vertical storage units and on the shop floor
- Utilize the ERP system for all inventory transactions ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Assist with maintaining optimal inventory levels for vertical storage units (VSU)
- Pull non-floor stock components for work orders, including printing necessary labels
- Operate forklifts, carts, and other approved methods to transport materials between departments
What's Needed?
- High School diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of forklift experience
- Basic math skills
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for long periods
