Job Description:
Shipping & Receiving Clerk | Rockford, MI
Salary Range: $40,000 - $60,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Rockford region seeking Shipping & Receiving Clerks. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates-not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify and record incoming materials against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Prepare and package finished goods for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and data entry.
- Coordinate with production and logistics teams to optimize shipping and receiving schedules.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing products for damage or discrepancies, reporting issues as needed.
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years experience in shipping/receiving within a manufacturing environment
- Proficient in using ERP/MRP systems for inventory management
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (certification preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
- Basic computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Net Suite) for inventory management.
- Experience operating various material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks) with certification.
- Familiarity with hazardous material handling and shipping regulations (e.g., DOT, IATA).
- Basic understanding of lean manufacturing principles and their application in warehouse operations.
- Ability to perform minor repairs or maintenance on shipping equipment or tools.
