Maintenance Technician Food Manufacturing

Job Summary

Shifts:

afternoon and midnight.

Hours:

variable start and end times. Hourly rate: $31.08 per hour, plus $0.25 per hour for the second shift or $0.40 per hour for the third shift premium.

Location:

Imlay City, Michigan. Anticipated close date:
May 24, 2026.

• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, overhaul, and recommend improvements for production equipment.
• Review the daily schedule to ensure proper equipment setup.
• Comply with plant safety and environmental regulations.
• Work daily and weekend overtime as scheduled, based on business demand.
• Report to the shift supervisor and work in a team environment.

• Fabrication and machine shop skills with a mechanical background.
• Develop working relationships to correct machine failures and implement preventive maintenance measures.
• Complete work orders and record material used on jobs.
• Experience operating forklifts, mechanical lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and hand tools.
• Knowledge of conveyors, variable frequency drives, electrical motors, and industrial controls.
• Use blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer installation manuals to complete projects.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, gearboxes, and boilers.
