Job Description
Northern Staffing Services is partnering with a well-established local manufacturing company to recruit a dependable and skilled Maintenance Technician for their Charlevoix facility.

Position Overview
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment and facility systems while helping ensure a safe and efficient work environment. This role also includes preventative maintenance and general facility upkeep.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment
- Repair or replace malfunctioning machine components
- Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and facility equipment
- Diagnose equipment issues using testing devices and tools
- Work with CNC control systems, servo drives, motors, and communication systems
- Clean, lubricate, and adjust machinery and equipment
- Maintain a safe work environment by following OSHA and company safety procedures
- Operate and maintain floor scrubbers
- Assist with general building maintenance and janitorial duties as needed
- Obtain and maintain a forklift license if required
- Complete additional duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous maintenance, manufacturing, or mechanical experience preferred
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and CNC systems is a plus
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment
- Strong troubleshooting and technical abilities
- Attention to safety and quality
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, organized, and adaptable
This position is based in a manufacturing setting with moderate to loud noise levels and exposure to moving machinery. Candidates should be comfortable working in an active industrial environment.
