Key responsibilities

• Dismantling and processing: Take apart vehicles to extract reusable parts or process scrap materials. This can involve draining fluids, removing components, and sorting metals.
• Equipment operation: Safely operate heavy machinery such as forklifts, loaders, cranes, and material handlers to move materials around the yard.
• Yard maintenance: Keep the yard clean, organized, and safe by performing general maintenance and housekeeping tasks.
• Inventory management: Track and manage parts and materials, ensuring accurate records are kept.
• Customer service: Assist customers with locating and purchasing parts.
• Safety and compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, handle hazardous materials appropriately, and follow environmental regulations.

Required skills and qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude: A good understanding of automotive parts and basic mechanical skills is crucial for dismantling and part identification.
• Heavy equipment operation: Proficiency in operating machinery is often a core requirement.
