Weld Technician | Coopersville, MI

Salary Range: $41,000 - $66,000

We are collaborating with leading companies in Coopersville seeking experienced Weld Technicians to drive results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform various welding processes (MIG, TIG, Stick) to fabricate and repair components.
  • Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements.
  • Inspect finished welds for quality, accuracy, and adherence to standards using appropriate tools.
  • Set up and operate welding equipment, including adjusting parameters for optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair welding equipment and related machinery.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize welding processes and resolve issues.
Recommended Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • AWS Certified Welder (CW) certification or equivalent
  • 3+ years experience in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and welding symbols
  • Strong understanding of welding safety protocols and quality control
  • Ability to perform basic maintenance on welding equipment
Bonus Qualifications
  • Experience with robotic welding systems (e.g., FANUC, KUKA).
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints and GD&T.
  • Familiarity with NDT methods (e.g., UT, PT, MT) for weld inspection.
  • AWS CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) certification.
