Off Shift Supervisor
Responsible for the supervision and control of the process plant during the assigned production shift. Monitors the preparation and movement of raw materials and product quality, and coordinates personnel in charge.
Essential Functions, Knowledge and Competencies- Supervise and manage people.
- Strong background in manufacturing processes.
- Can lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods (8-10 hours). Frequent bending and twisting.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills; remain calm under stress.
- Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Understand the proper use and limits of standard inspection, measuring and test equipment.
- Good interpersonal communication skills.
- Vision correctable to 20/20; able to distinguish colors.
- Basic computer skills.
- Provide supervision and management in all areas of production during the assigned shift.
- Ensure employee safety.
- Maintain product quality and production output for all employees.
- Train employees as needed and conduct annual reviews.
- Set high standards, provide strong leadership and coaching to direct reports.
- Promote a team‑based environment, positive atmosphere, open door policy and harassment‑free environment.
- Ensure qualified personnel before they perform operations.
- Delegate to appropriate personnel and make decisions at the appropriate level.
- Support plant goals and objectives.
- Initiate cost‑reduction programs through effective problem solving and process improvement efforts.
- Advocate and enforce safety standards.
- Ensure PE products meet or exceed customer requirements.
- Attend routine meetings to discuss quality system and production‑related issues.
- Ensure compliance with ISO and FDA regulations.
- Coordinate emergency response activities on the assigned shift.
- Handle discipline issues as needed and communicate with Group Lead and Human Resources.
Two‑year degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or equivalent experience preferred.
