Job Overview
HPC-Industrial, Powered by Clean Harbors, is looking for an IS Technician SMS II to join their safety conscious team in Ludington, MI. This team member will set up and operate automatic and/or semi-automatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation. They will monitor meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and controls to ensure adherence to specifications, report malfunctions, make adjustments, perform minor repairs, and follow safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities and Physical Demands- Responsible for safety policies and procedures of both the company and the customer, including hands‑on information regarding operations, safety, equipment, emergency response and administrative functions.
- Hands‑on operation of field machining equipment.
- Routine mechanical repair of operating components.
- Online leak sealing preventing shutdown of operations.
- Line isolation and hydrotests.
- Preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- Wear protective clothing or equipment such as Nomex coveralls, a black belt, slicker suits, rubber boots, a fresh‑air breathing mask and escape pack and a hard hat.
- Work under extreme climate conditions (high heat and humidity, subzero weather).
- Withstand exposure to dust, chemicals, fumes, exhaust and highly pressurized fluids.

- Successful completion of background check, drug test, and physical.

- Strong English proficiency for safety training and emergency instructions.
- Valid driver’s license and compliance with company driving policy.
- OSHA certification may be required.
- Knowledge of emergency equipment operation, such as fire extinguishers.
- Possibly need Federal Transport Workers Identification Credential (TWIC).
