Salary Range: $61,000 - $96,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Ludington that are seeking skilled CNC Mill Programmers. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and implement CNC programs for 3-axis and 5-axis mills.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machine parameters.
• Optimize programs for efficiency, cycle time reduction, and surface finish.
• Perform first-article inspections and troubleshoot machining issues.
• Collaborate with engineers and machinists to refine designs and manufacturing processes.
• Maintain and update CNC program libraries and documentation.
• Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards in all programming activities.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360) for generating toolpaths.
• Strong understanding of G-code and M-code for manual programming and editing.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, including GD&T.
• Experience with various CNC machine controls (e.g., Fanuc, Haas, Siemens).
• Knowledge of cutting tools, their applications, and optimal machining parameters.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and optimize machining processes.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with 5-axis programming.
• Familiarity with a variety of CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidCAM).
• Ability to perform minor machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Experience with post-processor development and modification.
