The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate various manufacturing presses (e.g., hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic).
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of press machinery and work area.
• Interpret blueprints, work orders, and production schedules to determine job specifications.
• Load and unload materials and finished products from presses.
• Inspect parts for quality defects, ensuring adherence to specifications and tolerances.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor operational issues with press equipment.
• Adjust machine settings and tooling for optimal performance and product quality.

Recommended Qualifications

• 2+ years experience operating and setting up manufacturing presses (e.g., stamping, hydraulic, pneumatic).
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
• Demonstrated ability to perform quality checks using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Strong mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and minor maintenance of press equipment.
• Experience with material handling and loading/unloading dies and raw materials safely.
• Adherence to all safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing environment.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of printing equipment.
• Forklift certification or experience operating a forklift.
• Demonstrated ability to train and mentor junior operators.
• Familiarity with quality control procedures and tools (e.g., densitometers, colorimeters).
• Basic computer skills for data entry and machine interface.
