Our client, a leading manufacturing organization specializing in wood products, is seeking dedicated General Laborers to join their team. As a General Laborer, you will be supporting the operations within the Veneer Mill and Sawmill departments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, a strong work ethic, and attention to safety, which will enable you to thrive in this dynamic environment.

Location:

Wetmore, MI

Pay Rate: $18.19 per Hour

Shift: 1st Shift 6AM-2:30PM or Similar

What's the Job?

• Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks in the sawmill and veneer mill to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
• Assist with piling four-foot boards and whole panels, ensuring proper stacking and handling.
• Relieve operators for breaks and support various operational functions as directed by supervisors.
• Operate manual and powered material handling equipment such as hand dollies, chain hoists, and forklifts (if qualified).
• Support training of other department employees to promote safety and productivity.

• Ability to follow instructions carefully and work safely at all times.
• Physical capability to lift and move weights up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Willingness to wear personal protective equipment and adhere to safety protocols.
• Good attendance and reliability to support continuous operations.
