Stick Welder

Our client, in the metal recycling industry, is seeking Stick Welders to join their team. As a Stick Welder, you will be part of the industrial operations supporting structural and heavy-duty welding tasks. The ideal candidate will have reliability, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location:

Belleville, MI

Pay Range: $18-$20

Shift: Monday – Friday, 5:00 AM – 3:00 PM

10-12 hour shifts (daily overtime included)

Potential shift to Monday – Thursday if production slows

Additional overtime available

What's the Job?

• Perform stick welding (SMAW) on structural steel, equipment, and plant components
• Follow blueprints, work instructions, and welding specifications
• Repair and maintain industrial equipment and plant structures
• Weld on thick, worn, or heavy materials in an industrial setting
• Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and safety standards

What's Needed?

• Stick Welding (SMAW) experience or recent SMAW certification
• Ability to pass a pre-employment weld test
• Comfortable working in an industrial / heavy manufacturing environment
• Basic blueprint reading is a plus
• Comfortable working at heights (rafters, elevated areas)
• Travel between Van Buren & River Rouge locations as needed

This is a true industrial role—candidates must be comfortable working in:

• Dirty, dusty, and muddy conditions
• Indoor & outdoor environments
• Heavy industrial setting
