The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor fabrication team members, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
• Plan, schedule, and assign daily fabrication tasks to meet production deadlines and customer specifications.
• Oversee the setup, operation, and maintenance of fabrication equipment, including welders, saws, and grinders.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to guide fabrication processes.
• Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure finished products meet design and performance requirements.
• Manage material inventory, including ordering, receiving, and organizing raw materials and consumables.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex fabrication issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize fabrication methods and improve product design for manufacturability.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in metal fabrication, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings.
• Strong knowledge of various fabrication techniques, including welding (MIG, TIG, STICK), cutting (plasma, laser, saw), forming (press brake, rolling), and finishing.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and train a team of skilled fabricators.
• Experience with quality control processes and ensuring adherence to safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and production scheduling software.
