Material Handler
Our client, an industry leader in manufacturing and industrial solutions, is seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join their team. As a Material Handler, you will be an essential part of the Industrial department supporting production and inventory management. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Location:
Clare, MI
Pay Range: $16.50 - $17.50 depending on shift
Shift: 1st shift - 8 am to 4 pm 2nd shift - 4 pm to 12 am overtime is scheduled prior to shift start time and can be heavy including Saturdays
What's the Job?- Support production associates by receiving, dispensing, and maintaining inventory in vertical storage units and on the shop floor.
- Utilize the ERP system for all inventory transactions to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Assist with maintaining inventory levels for vertical storage units (VSU) and report any unplanned issues to the Team Leader.
- Pull components from VSU for work orders, including printing labels as needed, and ensure proper storage and sequencing.
- Operate forklifts, carts, and other approved methods to transport materials between departments, performing cycle counts regularly.
- High School diploma or equivalent. REQUIRED
- At least 1 year of forklift experience. REQUIRED
- Basic math skills for inventory management.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret English language documentation.
- Valid driver's license and physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
