Structural Steel Welder / Fabricator (MIG / GMAW)

We are hiring a skilled Structural Steel Welder / Fabricator to support production in a fast-paced fabrication shop. This role involves MIG / GMAW welding, blueprint reading, and metal fabrication for custom equipment and structural components. Ideal candidates have hands‑on experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• Perform welding and fabrication using MIG / GMAW processes
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Measure, cut, and fit materials to specifications
• Operate fabrication equipment including saws, grinders, drills, plasma cutters, torches, shears, and ironworkers
• Inspect welds to ensure quality and accuracy
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Use overhead cranes, rigging, and forklifts safely
• Assist with assembly, testing, and shipment preparation

• 2+ years of experience in welding and structural steel fabrication
• Proficiency in MIG (GMAW) welding
• Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings
• Experience with hand tools and shop equipment
• Ability to operate overhead cranes and forklifts
• Strong knowledge of shop safety practices
• High school diploma or equivalent

• AWS Welding Certification
• Experience with custom fabrication or machinery

• Fabrication shop with moderate to high noise levels
• Exposure to dust, fumes, and industrial equipment
• May include overtime, outdoor work, or varied conditions

• Ability to lift, carry, and move materials
• Stand, bend, and work in various positions for extended periods
• Follow written and verbal instructions safely and accurately
