Position Purpose
The Lead shall be responsible for the daily oversight and scheduling workflow tasks of the team members.
ShiftMonday through Friday 7am to 3pm
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Lead all personnel directly involved with the process in the assigned department.
- Perform tasks alongside personnel as a team member as necessary to ensure delivery performance.
- Act as the training focal point for new team members.
- Manage department workload by assigning tasks to team members.
- Represent the team in meetings pertaining to team activities, when applicable.
- Coordinate with production supervisors and planning to ensure customer delivery on time.
- Report unacceptable quality trends to management when required.
- Follow up on component or product failures and contribute to investigations and corrective actions when necessary.
- Follow all established Vaupell policies, standard operating procedures, and safety practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2+ years of leadership experience in a related field.
- Familiarity with and ability to perform duties within the assigned department.
- Good comprehension abilities and strong math aptitude.
- Supervisory skills preferred.
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Suite.
- Thorough knowledge of tools necessary for the department.
- Knowledge of part specifications.
- Strong facilitation skills and ability to train employees.
- Ability to read, speak, understand and follow instructions in English.
- Must be able to wear and properly use the required personal protective equipment.
- Candidate must be a US Person (US Citizen or Permanent Resident) to meet ITAR and EAR compliance requirements.
The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and occasionally to fumes, airborne particles, and vibrations. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to occasionally loud. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
