Production Worker

Job Description

The Production Worker, Labourer is under the direction of the shift supervisor and will primarily be responsible for destruction of incoming products and assembly of reconditioned products using established production procedures, following safety protocol and adhering to company’s quality standards.

• Demonstrate ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within required time
• Maintain good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned space
• Perform all assignments in accordance with safety specifications, instructions, and requirements
• Take responsibility for safety and quality throughout production
• Notify a Production Lead or Supervisor when stepping off the line to ensure safety and quality standards are maintained
• Report all production waste/issues to Production Lead or Supervisor
• Perform other duties as required by Supervisor or Manager
• Follow all company policies and procedures

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Experience working in a Manufacturing Environment
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Understand plant safety guidelines and pass all required safety training
• Must be able to understand verbal and written instructions
• Troubleshoot problems and report issues
• Must work well in a team environment

• Use of hands and fingers to perform job functions
• Use of power tools, e.g., Sawzall, drill, bandsaw, robot
• Ability to stoop, kneel, bend and climb
• Ability to lift up to 42 lbs
• Ability to push, tip raw totes that could weigh up to 150 lbs
• Assigned shift schedule:
  • 1st shift: 7am to 3:30pm
  • 2nd shift: 3pm to 11:30pm
• Overtime is mandatory when required, may extend the 8hr shift or require working a 6th day on Saturday
• Ability to remain on feet consistently for 8–12 hour shifts
• Line production is constant flow; walk continuously within the work cell with rotation based on area assigned
• Repetitive turning & twisting during production based on area assigned
• Use of hand tools as needed up to full scheduled shift
• Work environment is indoors, not temperature controlled; exposed to heat and cold depending on outside weather conditions
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, which may include: hard hat, ear plugs, safety glasses, face shield, steel toed boots, cut resistant gloves, cut resistant sleeves, apron, and/or Tyvek suit
