Role Description
The Manufacturing ERP Planner is a full-time, on‑site role based in Hopkins, MI. This role is responsible for creating, maintaining, and optimizing production schedules within the ERP system to ensure on‑time delivery and efficient use of resources. Daily tasks include analyzing demand and capacity, coordinating with production, purchasing, and engineering, and updating ERP data such as work orders, bills of materials, and routing information.
The Manufacturing ERP Planner monitors workflow, resolves scheduling conflicts, and communicates changes and priorities to stakeholders across operations. The role also supports continuous improvement initiatives, contributing to process standardization and data accuracy within manufacturing systems.
- Work Order Processing: Create, maintain, and close manufacturing orders, ensuring routing operations and bills of materials (BOMs) are accurately processed.
- Data Entry & Management: Update ERP databases with real‑time shop floor activity, labor reporting, material issues, and operation completions.
- Inventory Control: Monitor Work‑In‑Process (WIP) and finished goods, executing inventory adjustments and assisting with physical cycle counts.
- Schedule Coordination: Collaborate with production supervisors, purchasing, and shipping teams to prioritize manufacturing jobs and resolve bottlenecks.
- Quality & Compliance Verification: Ensure that routing paperwork, job travelers, and inspection requirements are properly documented and tracked in the system.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in supply chain.
- Experience: 1 to 3 years of data entry, production coordination, or ERP/MRP administration experience in a manufacturing or processing facility.
- Technical
Skills:
Proficiency in major ERP/MRP systems (Counter Part a plus). Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. - Soft Skills: High attention to detail, strong problem‑solving capabilities, and excellent cross‑functional communication skills.
