Location: Gladstone

Van Aire is growing — and we’re looking for CNC Machinists to join our team in Gladstone, Michigan

Whether you are an experienced setup machinist, an advanced CNC professional, or someone earlier in your machining career, we would like to talk. We are hiring at multiple levels and offer a clear path for growth.

PAY AND GROWTH PATH.
  • Level III – Advanced / Lead Machinist: $28–$35/hour
    . Ideal for experienced machinists with advanced setup, troubleshooting, process improvement, and leadership capability. (Usually someone with 4+ years of experience.)
  • Level II – Setup Machinist: $22–$28/hour
    . Designed for machinists who can perform setups, make offsets and adjustments, inspect parts, and work independently on routine machining responsibilities. (Typically someone with 2+ years machining experience with setup capability.)
  • Level I – Operator: $16–$22/hour
    . A strong starting point for candidates with 0–2 years of manufacturing or machining experience who are ready to learn and grow in CNC machining.
SCHEDULES AVAILABLE.
  • First shift: Monday – Friday, 6:30am – 3:00pm
  • Second shift: Monday – Thursday, 3:00pm – 1:30am

WHAT YOU WILL DO.
  • Set up, adjust, and operate CNC machines to produce high-quality parts.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering specifications, and shop orders.
  • Select and secure fixtures and position components accurately.
  • Make tool offsets and adjust machine settings as needed.
  • Monitor machine operation and inspect parts using measuring tools.
  • Perform pre-production setup and assist with program prove‑outs.
  • Deburr finished parts and verify that quality standards are met.
  • Load and unload materials and move parts throughout the facility.
  • Maintain machines through cleaning, chip removal, coolant checks, and routine upkeep.
  • Follow all safety and quality procedures.
  • Support a team-focused culture where people take pride in doing work the right way.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints (or learn this), and strong understanding of shop math.
  • Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and indicators.
  • Experience working with metals preferred.
  • Ability to pass a physical and drug test, including screening for marijuana.
