This entry-level production role supports line activities by preparing raw materials, operating equipment, performing quality checks, and packaging finished products.
PRIMARY DUTIES- Preparation of raw materials and packaging: identifying and preparing the right quantities, transporting them to the appropriate production area, reporting any deviation from normal, noting start and finish of process
- Operating processing equipment in line with process instructions and procedures
- Monitoring equipment to keep processes running at desired run rates
- Completing the initial testing and release of products to ensure there are no deviations to specifications
- Checking labels and packaging material to ensure correct labeling following existing rules and instructions
- Packaging final products in accordance with instructions and H.B. Fuller quality standards
- Carrying out all operations in compliance with expected quality standards, operating procedures of H.B. Fuller, and respecting all legal and company EHS rules
- Responsible for housekeeping in the area of responsibility
- Carrying out any other duties requested by the Production Manager/Supervisor
- Basic educational degree or high school diploma or general education diploma
- No prior experience required
- Knowledge of common software programs (MS Office)
- Ability to read and understand work orders, production process, safety regulations, and quality procedures and instructions
- Availability to work in shifts
- One year of experience in an industrial environment
- Understanding of basic English
- Required to stand for long periods of time
- Walk and climb stairs
- Use hands to remove or lift boxes
- Stretch and reach with arms extended
- Stoop and bend
- Regularly lift up to 50 pounds and up to 100 pounds with assistance
- Temperature, dust, smell, and noise are under normal chemical environment conditions
Pay is based on several factors including education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location. The salary for this role is $19.45 per hour.
