Summary

The Production/Quality Supervisor is responsible for the overall leadership of Truly Free’s manufacturing operations, ensuring that liquid fill, powder fill, labeling, and assembly meet both operational and quality standards. This role integrates production efficiency with rigorous quality control, maintaining proper inventory levels, confirming the integrity of raw materials and finished goods, and supporting continuous improvement. The Supervisor ensures that products are manufactured on time, to specification, and in compliance with safety and quality standards, while leading and developing the production team.

and Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily production operations, ensuring efficient liquid fill, powder fill, labeling, and assembly processes that adhere to quality standards.
  • Inspect and verify raw materials upon receipt to ensure they meet specifications; store and manage appropriately for use in production.
  • Blend finished products according to batch sheets while maintaining full lot traceability and quality records.
  • Coordinate inventory management with Operations Manager and Procurement, ensuring materials, packaging, and finished goods are available for production and shipping needs.
  • Inspect production line outputs against formulas, standards, and batch sheets to verify accuracy and consistency.
  • Train production and shipping staff on SOPs, safety requirements, and quality control procedures to promote compliance and reduce errors.
  • Maintain equipment calibration and monitor performance; arrange repairs and perform minor maintenance to reduce downtime.
  • Collect, record, and analyze quality control data, including inspection results, reworks, and waste, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for product quality feedback and complaints, coordinating resolutions across production and shipping teams.
  • Supervise, schedule, and develop production staff, providing coaching, conducting performance reviews, and supporting HR-related actions as necessary.
  • Ensure employees follow safety protocols and provide a clean, hazard-free environment, including PPE usage when handling materials.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts across production and quality, optimizing workflow, equipment utilization, and team performance.
  • Assist with writing, reviewing, and improving SOPs and training documentation for both production and quality functions.
  • Utilize communication tools (Slack, email, meetings) to coordinate across teams and ensure timely resolution of issues.
Work Environment
  • Work primarily in a warehouse/production setting with close interaction with other staff.
  • Frequent use of safety attire when handling raw materials or blending products (gloves, goggles, face shields).
  • Collaborative, supportive work environment focused on safety, quality, and efficiency.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Mastery of ERP system (Syteline/Factory Track) with ability to train and support others in its use.
  • Ability to collaborate with all levels of staff and provide effective leadership to a team.
  • Proficiency with basic computer tools for inventory management, quality databases, and communication.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills across departments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve production or quality issues.
  • Solid understanding of weights and measurements (grams, ounces, pounds) for both liquids and powders.
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Prolonged periods standing
  • Occasionally sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
