General Operator - 2nd Shift (2PM-10PM)
Tenneco Litchfield is a manufacturing facility belonging to the Clean Air division of Tenneco. Our primarily focus is producing full exhaust systems and related components for OEM's (Automotive Plants) and aftermarket parts. Our major customers are General Motors, Ford, Toyota, VW, Nissan, and many aftermarket vehicle replacement parts. We have three departments known as Canning, Bending and Final assembly. Canning is the production zone where catalytic converters and different filters are assembled and sealed inside their metal outer shells.
Our bending department is responsible for shaping straight metal in complex, curved shapes to fit under the vehicle, and tail pipes. Final assembly at the end of the shop is where, bent pipe, stuffed cans, hangers and flanges are all welded together to make a vehicle ready exhaust system.
Duties and responsibilities:
Summary:
Responsible for tending to metal fabricating machines such as, but not limited to, cut-off saws, shears, rolls, brakes, presses, sizers, forming machines, spinning machines, and punches that cut, shape, and bend metal plates, sheets, tubes, and structures by performing the duties and responsibilities as outlined within this job description.
