Our client, a precision manufacturing company, is seeking a Tool Room Machinist to join their team. As a Tool Room Machinist, you will be part of the Tool Room Department supporting Manufacturing and Production teams. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title:Tool Room Machinist - 2nd Shift
Location:Holland, MI
Pay Range:$21 - $31/hr plus 15% shift differential
What's the Job?- Operate specialized machine tools to manufacture and repair tooling, fixtures, and components used in production.
- Verify tooling dimensions and quality using precision measuring instruments, comparators, blueprints, and GD&T standards.
- Produce tooling and fixtures efficiently while maintaining strict safety and quality requirements.
- Support manufacturing operations by ensuring tooling is built to specification and ready for production use.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying process enhancements and cost-saving opportunities.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Certification or demonstrated proficiency operating specialized machine tool equipment.
- Minimum of 4 years of machine tool or machining experience.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, including GD&T, and use precision measurement tools and hand gages.
- Strong dependability, teamwork, problem-solving skills, and commitment to safety and quality.
