CNC Lathe Operator
We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Operator with strong hands-on machining, troubleshooting, and part inspection experience. This position requires someone who can independently operate CNC lathes, maintain production and quality standards, make tooling and offset adjustments, and troubleshoot basic machine and tooling issues.

Up to $25/hour + $2/hour night shift premium
Schedule
Day Shift: Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM-4:30 PM
Night Shift: Monday-Friday | 4:30 PM-2:30 AM
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC lathes to produce precision parts according to specifications and quality standards.
- Monitor machine performance and maintain established production levels.
- Troubleshoot basic CNC machine and tooling issues independently.
- Change tools, drills, and inserts as needed.
- Make offsets and adjustments to maintain part dimensions and tolerances.
- Read and interpret blueprints, including GD&T.
- Perform in-process and finished-part inspections.
- Use standard OD micrometers, depth micrometers, calipers, pin gauges, and other precision measuring equipment to verify part quality.
- Keep machines stocked with required production materials.
- Perform basic cleaning, oiling, and routine maintenance of CNC equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and other members of the production team.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of hands-on CNC lathe experience preferred.
- Ability to independently operate and perform basic troubleshooting on CNC lathes.
- Experience changing tooling, drills, and inserts and making machine offsets.
- Strong blueprint reading skills with an understanding of GD&T.
- Hands-on proficiency using standard OD micrometers, depth micrometers, and calipers.
- Experience with pin gauges and other basic inspection equipment.
- Experience with Tsugami or other Swiss-type CNC machines is preferred but not required.
- Comparator and profilometer experience is a plus, but training can be provided.
- Good mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Ability to safely use tools and equipment required for CNC machine operation and basic maintenance.
