Machinist (CNC & Boring Mill)

Clinton Machine, located in Ovid, MI, specializes in the design & build of custom automated equipment, robotic work cells and material handling systems. Our equipment can typically be found in such industries as:
Automotive & Transportation, Oil & Gas, Induction Heating, Steel Bar & Tube Manufacturing and Billet Forging systems.

Qualifications:

• USA Citizenship a Requirement.
• Driver License or Chauffeurs License.
• Minimum 5+ Years experience in running a Boring Mill or CNC Center.
• Knowledge in reading blueprints & understanding machining principles.
• Ability to drive forklifts & trucks.
• Organized Handling of Materials & Paperwork.
• Self-motivated & Ability to multi-task and work with peers.

Job Duties:

• Ability to read blueprints with a strong understanding of geometric symbols, machine specifications and various surface finishes.
• Strong mathematical skills and mechanical aptitude, with ability to dimensionally layout details from drawings.
• Ability to both set-up & operate a wide variety of machine tools and equipment (i.e. CNC Machining Centers, Lathes & Boring Mills).
• Ability to perform part inspections, and use of various metrology equipment for inspecting parts for compliance & quality.
• Self-starter with ability to efficiently manage tasks, and daily work requirements to keep projects on schedule.
• Ability to physically meet the demands of the job and have an eye for detail and quality.
• Knowledgeable in industry safety practices, and general equipment maintenance.
• Ability to work with others and operate in a team-oriented workplace.

Wages & Benefits: range $26-$28/hr the wage offered will be determined by the applicant's qualifications, skills, and relevant work history. Benefits:
