CNC Lathe Operator

Entech Staffing Solutions seeks a CNC Lathe Operator for a precision-focused client in the Professional, Scientific & Technical Services industry. In this role, you will set up and operate CNC lathes to produce close-tolerance components, interpret blueprints and engineering drawings, and select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds. You will perform offsets and minor program edits at the machine, measure parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges, and complete in-process quality checks.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes to produce precision components to specification
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job travelers
• Select and install tooling; set speeds, feeds, and work offsets
• Perform minor program edits and adjustments at the machine control
• Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify tolerances
• Document in-process quality checks and maintain production records
• Follow safety procedures, lockout/tagout, and maintain a clean work area
• Communicate with supervisors and engineers about issues and improvements
