Title: Journeyman Extrusion Tool & Die Maker 2nd Shift
Reports To: Extrusion Tool and Die Leader
Status: Full Time/Overtime as necessary
Job Requirements- CAD Design
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Industrial Truck License
- Motor coordination, manual & finger dexterity
- Tool & Die Journeymen’s card or 8 yrs experience in trade
- AutoCAD skills
To design, build, and repair extrusion dies that are capable of producing quality plastic parts.
Essential Job Functions- 1. Design and build extrusion dies.
- 2. Repair extrusion dies, on and off line, when necessary.
- 3. Maintain and repair all tooling machines.
- 4. Inspect the first parts produced by each new extrusion die.
- 5. Troubleshoot all existing extrusion dies.
- 6. Inspect other toolmakers work.
- 7. Research and develop new tooling jobs, and produce prototype samples.
- 8. Complete all necessary paperwork, including weekly progress reports.
- 9. Operate a wire EDM and CNC milling machine.
