Custom Design Components is looking for a skilled CNC Machinist to join its second-shift team in Howard City, Michigan.
This position is focused primarily on setting up and operating CNC milling machines to manufacture precision hydraulic manifolds. You will read blueprints, select tooling and fixtures, make machine adjustments, inspect completed parts, and ensure every component meets the required specifications.

What you’ll be doing- Set up and operate CNC milling machines
- Produce precision hydraulic manifolds according to job specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
- Select and install the appropriate tooling and fixtures
- Make machine adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy
- Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection equipment
- Inspect completed parts for dimensional and visual defects
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and quality issues
- Perform routine machine and tooling maintenance
- Work with different materials and adjust machining methods accordingly
- Follow production, quality, safety, and housekeeping standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Communicate production concerns to the Production Lead
