Bindery Assistant
We are searching for dependable and mechanically inclined individuals to join the team in Bindery Assistant position in Chelsea, MI.
- 3rd Shift: 11:00pm - 7am Monday to Friday. Must attend orientation either on Thursday or Friday during the day prior to start.
Pay Start: $17.00/hr

Responsibilities Include:
- Learn to interpret the information on the work order and its contents.
- Follow daily running order provided by Scheduling Team.
- Feed books/signatures into machine.
- Pack books into cartons & safely move materials/books to and from workstation.
- Perform hand operations as required.
- Communicate with Supervisor and Scheduling Team as needed.
- Maintain high throughput by performing quick and efficient make-readies and job changeovers.
- Inspect for quality defects ensuring quality standards are achieved.
- Be sure all waste is disposed of properly.
- Perform preventative maintenance, general cleaning and upkeep of machine and auxiliary equipment.
Requirements:
- One to three months related experience or one year of manufacturing experience.
- Basic math skills, add subtract, and ability to use a measuring device.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
