Job Description

Entech Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced CNC Grinder to join a growing manufacturing company in Flushing, MI. This position is primarily focused on CNC grinding, machine setup, operation, and precision inspection
, with additional opportunities available for candidates with experience in CNC milling, turning, or other machining disciplines.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with CNC grinding equipment, CNC controls, blueprint reading, grinding wheels and tooling, offsets, and precision measurement.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC grinding equipment to produce precision parts according to specifications.

• Read and interpret blueprints, job instructions, and machining specifications.

• Set up grinding wheels, fixtures, tooling, and other equipment.

• Select appropriate grinding wheels and tooling based on material and part requirements.

• Adjust machine offsets and parameters to maintain required dimensions and tolerances.

• Monitor grinding operations and make adjustments as needed.

• Inspect completed parts using micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.

• Identify quality issues and make appropriate machine or tooling adjustments.

• Maintain required tolerances and quality standards throughout production.

• Follow established safety procedures and properly operate equipment and materials.

• Perform basic preventive maintenance and maintain machine cleanliness.

• Keep the surrounding work area clean, organized, and safe.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• CNC machining education or 1–2 years of related CNC machining experience and/or training
  , or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Hands-on experience with CNC grinding equipment preferred.

• Experience with CNC controls required.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and job instructions.

• Strong understanding of precision measurement and tight tolerances.

• Ability to perform mathematical calculations related to machining and grinding.

• Ability to inspect parts and maintain required quality standards.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee may occasionally be required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
