Summary
My Michigan Medical Center Tawasha is an opportunity for a motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the My Michigan Hospital Medicine/Critical Care team in Tawas, Michigan. A strong focus of this inpatient role will be patient admissions management and complex medical care management. This is a night position with 7 on 7 off from 7 p.m. – 7 a.m.
Candidates with inpatient experience are highly preferred. This APP must possess great communication and clinical skills.
APP’s will work in conjunction with hospitalist physicians. There is a robust onboarding and training program as well as a formal mentorship program.
ResponsibilitiesEvaluate, Diagnose, and treat patients who are admitted. This can include managing chronic conditions, addressing acute medical issues, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
This position will require performing procedures such as paracentesis, thoracentesis, TDC, chest tubes, lines, and medports.
Certifications and Licensures- Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- AHA approved BLS certification
- AHA approved ACLS certification
- State of Michigan license or eligible to apply
- Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
- Experience Preferred
