- Key responsibilities:
provide comprehensive nursing care for obstetric patients across antepartum, labor and delivery, and postpartum periods; monitor maternal and fetal status, perform rapid assessments, and intervene as needed; administer medications, manage IVs, and assist with procedures under physician supervision; support labor and delivery teams, including triage, cesarean section or assisted delivery support as required, and neonatal stabilization when indicated; deliver compassionate patient education on labor, breastfeeding, postpartum recovery, and newborn care;
document meticulously in electronic health records and ensure adherence to safety and infection control standards; collaborate closely with obstetricians, CNMs, and ancillary staff to optimize care plans and patient outcomes. - Professional growth: leverage exposure to a range of OB/GYN cases to deepen your clinical expertise, pursue specialty certifications, and assume evolving leadership responsibilities as you build experience across settings.
