Responsibilities
Chief Nursing Officer
The Chief Nursing Officer is a member of the Senior Leadership Team who integrates and coordinates a patient‑centric nursing strategy, ensuring delivery of high‑quality, cost‑effective health care consistent with UHS values and regulations. The CNO participates in strategic planning and contributes to achieving institutional goals.
- Integrate and coordinate a patient‑centric nursing strategy.
- Ensure delivery of high‑quality, cost‑effective health care aligned with UHS values and regulations.
- Participate in strategic planning and contribute to institutional goals.
- Lead across the five key areas:
People, Service, Quality, Growth, and Finance.
Job Requirements:
- Current license or permit to practice professional nursing in the state of MI.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a CCNE accredited program;
Master of Science in Nursing preferred. - Demonstrated knowledge of behavioral health nursing clinical practices and management.
- Extensive knowledge of nursing and patient care principles.
- Knowledge of effective management and supervisory practices; strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Five or more years of progressive nursing management experience in a behavioral health setting preferred.
- Ability to plan, direct, and monitor activities with demonstrated leadership to foster a positive work environment.
