Licensed Practical Nurse - LPN - PRN

About the Role

As a Wound Care Center Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Healogics, you will support patients with wound care under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or provider, following all policies and protocols.

• Provide wound‑related patient care according to Basic Life Support (BLS) and hospital protocols.
• Assist in vein clinic after completing Healogics Vein Clinic training.
• Assist with case management under the direction of an RN, in accordance with state regulations.
• Gather patient information and necessary equipment and supplies for the RN or provider.
• Report quality of care issues to the Clinical Nurse Manager.
• Communicate therapeutic interventions with all team members to ensure quality of care.
• Perform hyperbaric oxygen therapy related duties after completing required Healogics hyperbaric training.
• May perform hyperbaric safety director duties after completing required training.
• Function as a Documentation Assistant (scribe) in accordance with Healogics policy.
• Perform other duties as delegated.

• High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED).
• Graduated from an accredited practical nursing program or state‑approved educational program.
• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in state of practice, maintained throughout employment.
• Two or more years of LPN/LVN experience, including at least one year in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) or long‑term acute care hospital (LTACH) setting.
• Wound care experience preferred.

• Demonstrated competency in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Strong organization, prioritization and time‑management skills.
• Basic knowledge of regulatory and accrediting requirements for healthcare organizations.
• Strong interpersonal, listening, oral and written communication skills.
• Customer service and follow‑up skills.
• Ability to multi‑task and work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Problem‑solving skills and ability to stay calm in all situations.
• Working knowledge of computerized nursing systems.
• Physical ability to lift/move items up to 20 pounds, 75 pounds with assistance, push/pull, bend/stoop, and reach/grasp.

• Stationary position for extended periods (4 hours or more).
• Viewing computer screen for extended periods (4 hours or more).
• Keying frequently on a computer for 4 hours or more.
• Reading, communicating, writing, color perception, close, distance and peripheral vision.
• Lifting/moving items up to 20 pounds; lifting/moving items up to 75 pounds with equipment assistance.
• Pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching/grasping/touching with hands.

• Normal office environment, primarily indoors.
• Patient care environment with exposure to hazards such as blood‑borne pathogens, toxic chemicals, flammable explosive gases, etc.
• Exposure to mechanical equipment and proximity to moving objects.

• Hourly rate generally ranges between $23.30 and $30.69 per hour, based on qualifications, education, experience, geography and operational needs.
