• Provide patient‑centered care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)
• Rapidly assess, triage and prioritize patients based on acuity
• Monitor patient condition and respond quickly to changes
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with clinical standards
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Delegate appropriate tasks within scope of practice
• Educate patients and families and support safe discharge planning
• Accurately document care, response and outcomes

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing (required)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred; must be obtained within 8 years of hire)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Michigan in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon completion of orientation
• Additional certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS, or other emergency/critical care certifications) may be required based on unit
• Strong critical thinking and decision‑making skills
• Ability to interpret clinical data and communicate effectively
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑acuity environment

• Frequent standing, walking and patient handling
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
