Licensed Practical Nurse - LPN - PRN

The Wound Care Center Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides wound-related and basic nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Provider, following all Healogics policies and applicable regulations.

• Provide wound-related patient care according to Basic Life Support (BLS) and approved hospital protocols.
• Assist in the vein clinic after completing Healogics Vein Clinic training.
• Assist with patient intake and discharge as needed.
• Assist case management under the direction of the RN, in accordance with state regulations.
• Gather patient information and necessary equipment and supplies for the RN or provider.
• Report quality of care issues to the Clinical Nurse Manager.
• Communicate therapeutic interventions with team members to ensure quality of care.
• Perform hyperbaric oxygen therapy duties after completing required Healogics hyperbaric training.
• Possibly perform hyperbaric safety director duties after completing required training.
• Function as a Documentation Assistant (scribe) in accordance with Healogics policy.
• Perform other duties as delegated.

• High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED).
• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program or state‑approved educational program.
• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the state of practice, maintained throughout employment.
• Two (2) or more years of LPN/LVN experience, including at least one (1) year in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or Long‑Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH).
• Wound care experience preferred.

• Competency in BLS (Basic Life Support).

• Lifting/moving items up to 20 pounds; up to 75 pounds with equipment assistance.

• Exposure to hazards such as blood‑borne pathogens, toxic chemicals, flammable gases, etc.

The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $23.30 and $30.69 per hour.
