Requirements- High school diploma or GED
- Current Michigan CNA Registry or completion of an approved Nurse Aide Training program with certification within 4 months of hire
- Obtain BLS Certification within 6 months of hire and maintain it
- Experience in long‑term care or geriatrics preferred
- PCAs may be considered during a temporary exception; pursuing CNA certification is encouraged

- Review care plans with nurses at the start of each shift
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as eating, bathing, and dressing
- Respond to call lights and assess residents’ needs
- Record vital signs and patient information
- Turn and reposition residents for pressure relief
- Communicate resident status and interventions to nursing staff
- Provide customer service to visitors
- Serve meals and assist residents with feeding
- Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms and change linens as needed
- Document patient data in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Basic computer skills required
- Ability to interpret data and communicate effectively with residents, families, and the healthcare team
- Lift moderately heavy weights (up to 50 lbs) and assist with heavier tasks as needed
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Commitment to safety protocols and ongoing competency development
