Overview

Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Iron River, Michigan.

• Provide general nursing care on a 25-bed Med Surg unit with a focus on geriatric patients (e.g., CHF or COPD).
• Support rotating shifts with day and night schedules.

• Certifications and Licenses:
  Current Michigan RN license;
  American Heart Association Basic Life Support; ACLS preferred but not required.
• Experience:
  
  Minimum of 2+ years in Medical-Surgical nursing; experience in ICU and Emergency Room; strong charting experience with Care Scape patient monitors, Epic EMR, and Pyxis medication system.
• Patient Care:
  Geriatric patients on a 25-bed unit; typical ratios 4-5 patients during day shifts and 6 patients during night shifts.
• Additional Details:
  Must be comfortable floating to Emergency Department within competency requirements; scrubs attire is colored; contract includes up to 36 hours of low census unbillable hours; vaccination policy compliance required.
