Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Infusion Registered Nurse – Bronson Battle Creek

Bronson Battle Creek

Hours:

72 hours – Monday to Friday, rotating 7:30 a.m. to 4/8‑5 p.m.

• Utilize the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) to manage care delivery and achieve quality outcomes and timely discharge.
• Coordinate care provided by other professionals and delegate selected acts, tasks or functions within the scope of professional nursing practice.
• Provide selected aspects of physical care appropriate to patient acuity and complexity.
• Document and communicate patient response to care during each tour of duty, consumption of resources and anticipated needs.
• Demonstrate competencies specific to the population served, including advanced life support when required.
• Maintain safety and quality standards including participation in quality improvement activities and documentation of professional development.

• Associate’s degree in Nursing required;
  Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred and must be obtained within 8 years of hire.
• Licensed Registered Nurse in good standing in the state of Michigan.
• BLS certification required upon completion of core orientation.
• Critical Care or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and other unit‑specific certifications may be required.
• Current driver’s license in Michigan and proof of insurance required for BAH.
• Must be able to read, interpret and analyze data from computer systems and equipment.
• Strong verbal, written and electronic communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and handle equipment as necessary.

• Emergency Department: SALT triage, ESI Triage, NIH Stroke Scale within 90 days of hire.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Trauma Nursing Core Course within 6 months of hire.
• Special Care Unit:
  Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 6 months.
• Labor & Delivery & Mother/Baby/Antepartum:
  Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certification within 6 months of intermediate fetal monitoring.
