Registered Nurse-Emergency Department-Evening

Hourly Pay Range: $36.00 – $55.80. The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate’s expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

  36 hours per week, Evening shift 3:00pm–3:30am with every third weekend and rotating holidays

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Nursing. If holding an Associate Degree, must earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing within five years of the start date.
• License:
  Current Illinois Registered Nurse license.
• Certification:
  Current CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross);
  Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS);
  Pediatric Life Support (PALS);
  Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS). All must be obtained within three months of the start date.

• Provide professional nursing care in accordance with the Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to assess patients’ condition, recognize changes, plan and evaluate care, monitor progress, and record observations.
• Delegate appropriate patient care tasks to other staff.
• Act as a team member to fulfill unit goals.
